What I liked
We were admitted to LGI in January 2010 with our little son who had to have an operation. He had a tumor that needed to be removed so we were placed onto 48a ward. Nurses were just excellent. This was a very hard for me as my son was only 5 weeks at the time and I was very emotional. They were a great support. Doctors were really busy but tried to be avaliable aas much as possible. The surgeons were very skilled and basiclly saved my little boys life.
The tumour turned out to be malignant so he has to have an MRI scan every 3 months. Staff at the MRI as also excellent, very helpful. Ward 76 nurses where we have a bed avaliable on the day of the scan are also wonderful and so are doctors an nurses from ward 79 where we go for a regular check up. I reall appretiate what all the staff are doing, they are honestly right people to do such a work!
What could be improved
Ward 48a toilets are not exactly the cleanest ones, however this wasnt a major issue for me at the time.2010ToiletsWardDoctorsNursing staffSurgeons
