"Chest Pain visit"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Accident and emergency

On Tuesday afternoon I was taken to KGH A&E with chest pains. Within 5 minutes I was in a room being set up for an ECG, blood tests and blood pressure check.

Due to a lack of rooms, there is a lot of waiting in the waiting area, but if that's what needs to be done to get people seen then I dont mind that at all, the staff kept me informed of who I was waiting for, what they thought. The Doctor came to find me when they finished their shift to make sure I was up to date before they left.

Although I was there for 4 hours, they got very busy, I left with the assurance that everything had been check that they could and given suggestions to go back to my GP with.

Thank you for your kind comments anbout the service you received in A&E. There are unfortunatley times when there can be a longer wait and a busy waiting room. However we always endeavour to see patients in as timely a fashion as is possible.

Kind Regards

David Anderson

Head of Nursing and Urgent Care
