"A very good experience"

About: Ayrshire Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Initially when my GP suggested I came to the hospice I said no way, I thought going to the hospice meant you were on your road out! My family talked me into it and I have to say I was wrong, it has been a very good experience, it truly is a happy place. The staff are so helpful and talking to other people has helped me no end. If it comes to the time when I do need specialist care I’d be happy to come in here.

Thank you very much for your comments. I am delighted that you have had such a positive experience of using our service.

We are very aware that a referral to a hospice service can be a difficult step and can be frightening for some people. As you discovered it is not always about end of life but also about living as well as you can for as long as you can. Your comment helps greatly to raise awareness about this.

Thank you again

Kindest regards,

Margaret
