"Good stay- would be better with wifi"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

I had an unexpectadly long stay in the hospital and I could not fault the care despite the complications I had, however it would make a massive difference for my stay if the was a wifi or a better mobile data conection - as there was hardly any signal. I was staing on the Lyme ward and I struggled to stay in touch with my family who live abroad and it was very difficult for me . I recently spent some time at Musgrove Park Hospital and they have an amazing wifi which made that difficult time for me much better.

Also on my discharge day I was taken off of the anti coagulation treatment. When I asked the nurse if I should stay on it for longer ( as I have been after previous operations and already had one DVT ) I was told that it us not necessary and unfortunately three days after being home I had another DVT.

The staff on the Lyme ward was exceptional and I am very greatfull for everything they have done to help me in that difficult time.
