"Refused IVF"

About: St Albans City Hospital / Gynaecology Watford General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

We’ve been trying for a baby now for 4 years coming back to Watford general and St Albans city hospital (seeing the same doctor), my wife had a miscarriage 5 years ago and we haven’t managed to get pregnant since.

The gynaecologist informed us last time that the nhs has stopped funding for IVF (6 months ago) but then today told us it stopped on the 12th October so we feel they put us off the IVF route so they could earn some money through us doing it privately with them....

We feel we’ve been treated so unfairly and should of been put on the ivf waiting list along time ago with going for the last 4 years with no success and them dragging their heels, instead now we have told we need to pay £5000 a cycle when the gynaecologist could have got the ball rolling a lot sooner.

It’s not a case of the money as a baby for us is priceless just feel we’ve been treated and advised very poorly.
