"Terrible service"

About: Bath Lodge Practice

I had pneumonia in March 2017, went to hospital overnight (on a trolley in corridor) and was told by a doctor the next day I would be signed off by my own doctor for 8 weeks. The doctor said the hospital would send me an appointment for a chest x-ray prior to this and if it was clear I could go back to work. I don't actually have a doctor that I know of but someone at Bath Lodge signed me back to work after 6 weeks without even seeing me! I went to the surgery and told the receptionist what should have been happening and asked for an appointment. I was told I couldn't have one as they were completely booked but I could ring a week later for an appointment a week after that but if I didn't ring early enough I wouldn't get one! This was pneumonia not a cold, I was astonished but as my "sick note" ran out before I could see a doctor I had to go back to work.

Today I phoned Bath Lodge as I have had a severe cough for over 2 weeks and after pneumonia need to get it checked out. I was left waiting on the phone for 45 minutes all of which time I have to pay for. Absolutely disgraceful.

I am so sorry to hear of your experience with our Practice.

Apologies for the delay in replying to your comment.

I am the new Practice Manager at Bath Lodge, and am striving to improve our patient care and would welcome the opportunity to review this with you.

I have implemented some changes since I have been here, this includes a new telephone system, and new appointment system, this hopefully with help patient experience within our Practice.
