Nothing - Disgraceful!
What could be improved
Tried for 3 days to contact out-of-ours Dr via advertised number(s) with no answer on any form. Neighbouring NHS trust refused to help (Stamford & Peterborough) as we live in-between the 2 catchment areas and out surgery was 'just' out of limits. Not wanting to abuse the 999 system I have no option now but to make a 60 miles return journey to the nearest openhospital.
Called local medical centre (Empingham) - Closed
Called advertised on-call number - No answer - 0845 045 0411
Called NHS Direct - Gave me the above number, no answer
Called 'Well Doc' - Won't help
Forced to drive to Hospital A&E unit - Misuse of dept but no open but to make 60 mile journey!
Anything else?
Pathetic, pull your finger out! If your facilities are closed make arrangements for cover to be available. If advertised telephone numbers are wrong, change them!Catchment areaSurgeryOpening hoursTelephoneNHS DirectDoctors
