"Uncaring staff"

I am a staff nurse myself and today I had to go for an ultra sound scan, at reception I felt that the staff were chatting about the patients, which I found unprofessional. I then went through and met the member of staff who performed the scan, I would like know how they follow the NMC code, there is no communication, no compassion. I found them very rude and I will be taking this to pals
