The staff do their best but the doctors are rushed and stressed and hard pressed, .The environment means there is no privacy or dignity whatsoever- due to being in curtained off areas rather than separate consulting rooms, This means you get to hear and even see everyone else's consultations and they get to hear yours!! So it's a bit of a sad joke to see notices in the lifts, reminding staff not to discuss clinical matters in the lift, because everything has been discussed in a totally non private way anyway, This set up also seems to lead other staff to walk causally in and out of the consultations, with their own queries about other patients, leading you to feel that there is little overall focus and that mistakes may be made because of this,
Environment eg equipment, check in screens and floors are not very clean, even when you are there at the beginning of the day.
All this makes me feel lacking in confidence about my forthcoming operation so I hope it goes ok!!
"staff try their best but enironment and set up..."
