"Needlessly kept waiting"

About: Bridgwater Community Hospital

My out-patients appointment to see the doctor was for 14.15 on 14th November 2017.

I booked in and was seen by the nurse for the eye test with 10 minutes. Despite my notes stating "dilate on arrival" the nurse said I could not be given eye drops at that time. I was told to go to the waiting room and wait to be called. 90 minutes later I asked if I had been forgotten.

It transpired that my notes had not been passed to the Doctor. When the doctor did see me, they wondered why I had not been dilated ???? So I had to wait a further 15 minutes.

This would not have worried me too much, but my wife was waiting for me in the car and was worried sick about what had happened.
