I had a total knee replacement and was kept fully informed continually about what was going to happen and why.
I had complete confidence in the staff both on the ward and in the theatre.
I was conscious throughout the operation but felt no pain or anxiety.
I was soon out of bed and walking in the ward with a frame.
After receiving instruction from a physiotherapist and being able to fulfil certain criteria, I was able to come home just over 24 hours after my operation.
I was not anxious about coming home as I had all the advice and instruction I needed in order to move about my home.
The pharmacist came to the ward with the medication I needed for the next weeks and I was provided with a telephone number should I need to contact the hospital about anything.
I would like to thank everybody concerned for the excellent care and expert treatment I have received.
"Completely satisfied with my treatment."
