Disgraceful
Food could be improved, little choice for someone who is unable to chew due to not being able to use false teeth and problems with swallowing, more care is needed for patients that are unable to feed themselves, steps should be taken more quickly to add additional liquid supplement's to avoid weight loss, weakness, and deterioration of patient, when liquid nutritional supplements are given, then they should be given, not left on table. More communication from staff, who cannot tell you anything, due to different staff being on ward, no consistency, unavailable to speak to as always seems to be in meetings, waited 3 hours and still in meeting, made to feel like you are being a nuisance for even expecting to speak to someone. I did not find Buckingham ward very welcoming. Some members of staff are very caring, by that comment I come across two, others forget that elderly patients need to be treated with dignity, respect, and care which is in short supply.
