My wife's mother was admitted to the Pembleton Unit in May 2017. She was in a very distressed state and was very disoriented. Physically she was extremely frail and wasn't eating or drinking properly. She was already diagnosed with dementia and had recently suffered a stroke.
The level of care and attention that she has received has been exemplary. She will never be cured, but she is in a much more stable state mentally and is physically stronger and able to eat and drink properly.
All of the doctor's, nurses, carers, cooks and cleaners have played their part. In particular my mother-in-law's Consultant, Named Nurse and another Nurse in particular have made an amazing difference.
Every effort has been made by staff to ensure every visit has been as pleasant as possible for my mother-in-law and for her visitors.
It is abundantly clear that the staff are extremely caring and very focussed on the needs of their patients. The difference in my mother-in-law's condition is remarkable and she is now ready to move on to a suitable nursing care home.
We cannot thank the staff at Pembleton enough.
