Although routine to the unit the treatment that I received from all the staff was excellent and clearly focussed on the patient. The preparation for the operation was thorough and well explained. What was most reassuring was the quiet but confident communication between the staff particularly in the theatre. The post operation brief was straightforward and left me with the view that life would be back to normal, even at the age of 78, very quickly. So sitting here at the PC on day 2 there is no discomfort, the script is clear and there is no pain. My deepest thanks to you all. Bryan Betterton
