"Lack of patient care"

About: Woodside Medical Centre

I was diagnosed with diabetes in August of this year, they phoned me early in the morning waking me up panicking because of my blood sugars being extremely high saying that i needed an emergency appointment with a member of the diabetes team which was fine i had the appointment.and i was put on Gliclazide. Since then the care for my diabetes has been appalling i've had no contact with any member of the diabetes team or my drs surgery, and was told by text message on the 14- 17th of September that the diabetes team will no longer be looking after my diabetes but the drs surgery will be. Phoned up this morning 3rd October to make an appointment with the nurse and was told i have to wait until 17th October tried to explain that i needed a repeat prescription but was told to phone back later to organise this. The attitude of the staff member was not very helpful at the time. However on a return telephone conversation from the GP all the above issues were solved and the prescription was issued. The problem arose because of a lack of communication and I hope in the future that the receptionists will not pass me back and forth and get the problem solved.
