I brought my friend in to A&E yesterday evening. She was first seen by the nurse practitioner, who couldn't have been more thorough and caring. Then the consultant checked things over, and I have not often had the privilege of seeing such a fine doctor at work.

She was admitted overnight, and when I came to pick her up from the short stay unit, the staff nurse and their team were also first class.
