"Wonderful staff on Ward 8"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital / Clinical haematology

I have always found the staff at RBGH brilliant and yesterday was no exception.

All the staff on Ward 8 were superb, professional and knowledgeable.

The only thing I would comment on is that for 5 hrs sitting in a cold ward was not very pleasant, the radiator were not working.

Thank you for letting us know how brilliant, professional and knowledgeable the staff on Ward 8 were during your visit to the ward but sorry to hear this was made uncomfortable due to the heating being ineffective.

I am sure the ward staff would have made it a priority to have Estates resolve the issue as quickly as possible but I will also forward this comment on to the Estates Department to be logged on their system and highlight the impact it had on patients.

It can be a challenge to maintain a temperature that is agreeable to all our patients and our Estates teams do an excellent job as unsung heroes looking after the comfort of our patients without them really being noticed unless something like a heating malfunction or their bed or TV break down during a visit.

We hope that all will run smoothly for any future visits you make to the hospital and apologies that the good care from the staff was marred by you feeling cold throughout your last treatment.
