"Really disappointed with the service."

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

I had a relative that was extremely dizzy and so they were taken to a and e. They arrived there mid day and were given a bed early next morning. It took them 2 days to perform a scan. We were all worried for two days on what was wrong but people would not tell us. They would say either vertigo or stroke but were not sure until the actual scan happened. I am really disappointed with this service. My relative was walking funny for 2 days so we were all worried. I am not a doctor or in a medical related profession and so it would have been extremely useful to us if someone would inform us on the situation or what was going on. That way we could be less worried. Really disappointed on the way things were managed. We just wanted better communication.

I am very sorry to hear of your frustration with this. Can I suggest you contact our PALS team on 0208 869 5118 (they will definitely answer or reply to a voicemail) or by email on LNWH-tr.PALS@nhs.net and they will try to help.

Kind regards

Pam
