Wow! I have never encountered such a rude ‘welcome’ at any gp surgery.
Waited at reception, two receptionists eating at their desks and one on the phone. After realising I wouldn’t be acknowledged (once the member of staff on the phone finished their call and ignored me!) I checked myself in, thinking I would ask what I needed to if I needed to wait.
After waiting nearly 10 mins for my appointment (I’m fine with that, I realise it runs behind) I asked a question at reception and unsurprisingly was treat like I’d inconvenienced them by daring to show my presence.
I’ve worked in customer service for 18 years, now running my own business and I can’t imagine ever acing like this-I can quite honestly say their attitude was shockingly poor and what a shame this is allowed to carry on after seeing previous reviews.
A smile, some friendliness and customer care would make such a difference and change what is a bad encounter to a very pleasant one.
The nurse who I saw was absolutely lovely, a credit to the practice.
