"A&E Physician Associate Doctor"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Took my teenage son to A&E after an nasty fall off his bicycle on Thursday evening. After 20 minutes we were seen by a lovely nurse who asked us some questions about the accident and took his blood pressure etc. We were asked to wait back in the waiting room for a doctor. About 10 minutes later a Physician Associate called my sons name and we went into a side room. The Physician was absolutely faultless. They were asking my son how it happened, also spoke about what accidents he’s had in the past on his bike, completely putting my son and myself at ease. Really talking to him at their level. No big words or a telling off for misusing his bike. They checked my son over thoroughly and diagnosed him with concussion. We haven’t been on A&E often, thank goodness, but this experience has to be one of the best. NHS at its very best.

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so pleased to hear that our staff made sure you and your son felt at ease and comfortable during your visit to the RLI. I have passed your kind words onto the teams involved who I know will really appreciate them. Thank you again, and all the best to you and your son.
