I finished my breast cancer radiotherapy recently and I can't thank the radiotherapy staff enough for all they do.
I insisted on my RT starting as early as possible regardless of the appointments being all over the place - this was accommodated as best as possible.
My lymph node biopsy wound got infected in the beginning of the treatment - a registrar was asked to come take care of it, I got my AB prescription and all went back to normal as quickly as possible.
Towards the end of treatment my skin started misbehaving seriously. The RT team (mainly LA09 but also other machines, right now I am very sorry that I am so not good with names...) insisted on me being seen and taken care of by someone despite me saying that it looks worse than it feels.
And every one appointment was starting with a smile, the whole team was kind, sympathetic, understanding.
yes, there were appointments with last-minute changes or longer waiting times.
In any such cases I was duly informed what next and the issue at hand was explained to me.
I could not even dream of a better experience during such hard times.
"Thanks ever so much!"
