"I miss the teenage area!"

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

(as the patient),

I am 18 years old and now just come to the haematology department for an annual review but have previously been coming here for years.

There used to be a play leader here but there isn't one now. There isn't really any entertainment for older children while they are waiting, it's all for younger ones. In the old hospital there was a nice area for older children with a playstation, arts and crafts, television and it was also good just to have someone to talk to.

This is a nice, bright area in the hospital and we our very happy with the staff. Our consultant, Dr Estlin, puts a lot of effort into each patient and we like that.

A vending machine would be nice!

Thank you for your comments.

Dr Estlin will be delighted hear how happy you are and that you like the hospital!

I will take you comments about the play leader and entertainment for older teenagers to the haematology/oncology department and will post back when I have more information.

Thanks
