"Terrible urgent care and A&E"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

my son in law went into A&E with atrocious back pain, they fairly quickly sent him to Urgent Care so that the A&E wait times are lower but the Urgent Care area was packed with people standing and sitting as there weren't enough chairs. He waited for over 4 hours to be told he was next, then a further hour and a half after being told he was next, to be seen. I understand children need to be seen faster but at which point do regular adults get a chance to be seen. I would rather go to Stoke than come back here.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post comments regarding your son in law’s recent patient experience, I wish him well with his recovery.

Unfortunately, we do not deal with the Urgent Care Service above the Emergency Department based at New Cross Hospital, Vocare provides this service. Their number is 0300 1233 105.

Kindest Regards
