I can not praise the Consultant and the Specialist Nurse for brilliant first class care.
My rheumatoid arthritis was miss diagnosed as osteoarthritis at Hexham General, and a wasteful operation on my left knee, my life was total misery with the lack of activity because of the constant pain my blood pressure, my cholesterol, my blood sugar all went up and more medication plus one for under active thyroid.
I still remember the day when I was seen by a different GP and they referred me to rheumatologist this time, I swear by Almighty the doctor in the first consolation confirmed that it is rheumatoid arthritis and not osteoarthritis, under their care they brought my auto immune system is under control, I am on diet and so far I lost a stone, one more to go.
Now after 4 painful years I am pain free, honest to God I can not quantify the benefits of leading a much better life, my target now for normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol and be a none diabetic man.
Thank you My God bless all, every morning I say a little prayer for you.
