I was admitted to the Emergency Department of the R D & E on 30th. October and after attempts to resolve the hernia problem had failed, returned for the night to await an operation the next morning.
The surgeon who was to do the operation from the Emergency Team was kind and patient with me which was much appreciated,as by this time I was rather scared and in pain.
I felt I could definitely trust both the surgeon and their team and the whole procedure was well organised, supportive and I believe, very skilled.
I felt in safe hands with professional people who valued me as a person and as a vulnerable patient.
I would like this message to reach the team and for them to receive my heartfelt thanks.
Nurses I found angelic under difficult, overcrowded circumstances and thanks to them too.
