I went to see Mr Atul Bagul about my umbilical hernia. I am an extremely nervous patient when it comes to Doctors, hospitals, and anything that requires even a tablet to swallow. Mr Bagul was extremely patient, and so reassuring. My BP was high..but it always shoots up at the sight of hospital or surgery. He was a total gentleman, and never once made me feel petty about something that must be so routine and boring for a surgeon. The same applies to the anethesist, and also the staff carrying out the obs in recovery, especially Kim, who I was happy to chat to. I didn't get a chance to thank him, so please pass on my sincere thanks to him and his team. I stayed overnight reluctantly, and just managed a quick handshake as I scuttled out of the ward as fast as possible. The only thing that could be improved was that the after care check up felt like a tick box.
