"A big thank you for the excellent care."

About: Basildon University Hospital / General surgery

Last month I had visited the Day Surgery Unit for radiofrequency ablation and phlebectomies with sedation.

I am a very nervous person.

I could write an essay on how well I was treated, it was beyond excellent. I would like to thank my Consultant and their team (vein gone, swelling gone, damage to skin from the vein healing, no pain after op, no meds needed, one tiny bruise) also the nurses and porters and the secretaries that arranged my procedure, everyone was so friendly and organised.

A week later I injured my ribs that was really painful, so much so that my son called an ambulance, the paramedics were wonderful they took me to the A&E as a precaution because I had just had the leg procedure.

Again they were excellent I had every organ scanned, heart tested, blood tests & pain relief.

The A&E doctor said I am sorry you are having so many tests but because of the danger of a DVT I want to make sure.

What more can I say fifty million stars!
