"Doctors and Nurses work under..."

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

What I liked

How hard everyone works, from Consultants to Nurses.

What could be improved

Being told what happened during my operation and the outcome.

It took nearly three hours to be discharged and then to be told I would have to wait approximately four hours for the return ambulance transport, I had been there from 0815 to 20.45.

The main thing that could be improved is the system. There is just not enough qualified doctors and nurses, they work under impossible pressure.

Anything else?

Whoever makes the decisions about cutting costs and staffing levels should really go and look at the sharp end when the hospital is really busy.

Thank you for providing your feedback.

We note your comments regarding the discharge arrangements, and confirm the Trust has recognised that improvements can be made. To this end our Quality and Efficiency team have recently introduced a number of new initiatives to implement a smoother and timelier discharge, including improving communication and team working.

We are sorry for the delays you experienced.
