"Emergency admission with Atrial fibulation"

About: Yeovil District Hospital / Cardiology

Having been dismissed by 112 I decided to go to casualty and what a good decision it was. From the minute I arrived I was taken straight to cubicles,ECG ,X-ray bloods all done immediately. After waiting to have a second blood test It was thought I may have had a heart attack with Atrial fibulation. As no beds were available in CCU

I was kept in a holding bay till a bed became available. The next morning the consultant visited and referred me for Cardiac catheterisation forthe next day. I was told if I needed stents they would be done there and then.Thankfully it wasn’t a heart attack,my heart showed no signs of heart disease it was an Episode of Atrial Fibulation.

How fortunate I was to have been treated so well so quickly.

All the staff were so kind and caring. Very professional ,good at their job.

It was quite a scary experience but I felt in safe hands.

Can’t thank them enough
