"Excellent care in new state of the art A&E"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

I was taken to LRI's new A&E dept by emergency ambulance on Tuesday evening with severe abdominal pain, sickness and shortness of breath. I was greeted by two members of staff as I arrived a nurse and a trainee paramedic who already knew why I was there were both lovely and reassuring. My husband who followed in his car was bought through to me straight away and was treated with care and repect. I was given medication immediately to help with my symptoms and after tests taken through to majors. The staff there were equally lovely and attentive and immediately sorted out everything I needed. The doctor I saw was also lovely and explained exactly where I was being admitted to and why, and the treatment I would be given. I was seen and admitted in 3 and a half hours, very quick overall. The new facilities are fabulous, extremely clean and afforded excellent privacy. Thank you to everyone involved for the excellent care and kindness I recieved.
