"I don't get frightened about coming to hospital and I never cry - even when it's treatment day"

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

(as the patient),

I am 6 years old and I come to the children's hospital because I've got ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukeamia).

The first thing I do when I come here is go for breakfast in the cafe and I always have lots of BACON! I try to find something to play with, I like the computer games, they're my favourite thing to do.

The play ladies are good at knowing what I like, she puts the cars and the garage out that I like.

I like it when it's more quiet in the hospital, not when it's busy.

I like Dr Wynn, he's nice and he's friendly. He's good at telling me what's happening to me. He supports Liverpool though which isn't good!

I don't get frightened about coming to hospital and I never cry - even when it's treatment day. When I come for treatment I go to the shop and buy a toy first.

I came for a sleep (aneasthetic) the other day and even went back to school afterwards. I don't mind coming to hospital.

Thank you for your comments.

We're really pleased to hear that you are so happy with the time you spend here at the hospital. Dr Wynn will be very pleased to know that you like seeing him and that he explains things well to you!

Thanks.
