I'm incredibly disappointed in the Beggarwood surgery, I've only recently joined with a several week waiting list for appointments, incredibly dismissive and rude receptionist staff and the emergency appointment being not an appointment at all but a case of, and i quote "we'll ring you when one comes up"

This isn't an acceptable way of conducting business, the practice seems completely disconnected with operating in a way that benefits the patient, any other surgery I've been a part of you can get an appointment emergency or otherwise and plan your day accordingly.... and by any stretch of the imagination the waiting times are unacceptable. if there's any question why walk in centers are so busy you don't need to look far for the cause.

Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry that you have not been happy with the service you have received from the surgery.

As you have posted your comments anonymously we can't investigate your specific concerns. Should you wish to contact and discuss personally please call and ask for our Practice Manager.

With regards to appointment availability you will no doubt have seen the media coverage regarding the shortage of GPs and we are utilising locum GPs but there will be times where the wait for an appointment is longer than we would like.

We have a number of appointments that we open on the day at 08:30 and to supplement this we have a duty GP and Advanced Nurse Practitioner to triage calls and determine clinical need for a face to face appointment where needed.

I note the comments regarding our reception team and will ensure this is fed back to them as they do undertake a thankless task.
