Having waited a month to see my GP , I came to discuss two problems firstly my reaction to the Clenil inhaler which I was having to use more frequently as I have developed reactions to perfume, soap, cleaning products. The inhaler made me itch and I had a rash on my arms neck and face. Second my knee which has given way several times resulting in three bad falls and I even fell in the church at my brother in laws funeral. I was told I needed a chest x-ray and a blood test and in the meantime a prescription for antihistamine.I was not told if I should stop taking the inhaler, but to come back in three weeks when they would have more time and would then discuss the knee. I went to reception to get an appointment but they were not available that far in advance I was told to try the internet. At home I looked at my forms for the chest x-ray which said I had a chronic cough I don't . I now feel that this was just a quick way to catchup on their over running . Nothing was discussed with me as to why the need for blood tests or anything else. I rang the surgery to ask about the inhaler but I was told the doctor was very busy . I do appreciate that there is a lot of pressure but, I have been left feeling that I don't count and I was wasting the doctors and my time.Having a tight chest and general feeling ill and being restricted in my everyday life by this new reactions should not be dismissed.
