"Cardiac rehabilitation"

About: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

Following an emergency angioplasty and fitting of a stent with diagnosis of unstable angina I was referred to cardiac rehab for 16 sessions.

I am currently almost three quarters through the sessions

These sessions with the cardiac nurse specialist and a physio have been excellent. All the staff are so supportive, caring and compassionate . They all take time to assess listen and advise on all issues relating to my condition.

This has been a time of mixed emotions for me

I am grateful to be alive and recovering but anxious and sometimes quite low and all staff are most helpful in addressing concerns and helping me make my emotional and physical journey as easily as possible.

An extremely valuable service and fantastic professional staff.
