I was given an 8.00 am Sunday morning appointment for an echo cardiogram.
When I arrived, the area was in darkness and the only person there was another patient.
We wondered whether it had been cancelled and no-one had told us.
Eventually a member of staff arrived, carrying a jar of soup and started unlocking doors and switching on machinery. The member of staff asked me which doctor I was seeing and why I was seeing them.
The member of staff said they didn't work at the hospital in the week and that the admin staff had not left them a patient list.
It took quite a while for the member of staff to find me on the computer.
On the way out, I asked the other patient if he knew what was wrong with him and he said he didn't and that was why his tests were ordered.
How the operative would carry out these tests, not knowing what was wrong with the patient, is a matter for conjecture.
What a joke, it was like amateur hour.
Hasn't given me any confidence in WHH at all.
