"Worried about possible DVT"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

After recent long haul flights I began experiencing symptoms that made me suspect a DVT, I was naturally worried and decided to go to A&E rather that waiting 2-3 days for a doctors appointment and possible referral etc. I was at A&E for 3 hours and saw a nurse who agreed with my concerns. Within an hour I saw a great doctor who after an examination ordered a blood test, results were back within the hour. Luckily no DVT but medication for a possible bacterial infection. Fantastic service, thank you NHS...
