"Hell Hole. Avoid"

About: BPAS Streatham CC/Clinic

I am so shocked by the whole experience. Upon arrival I thought I had walked into a youth centre or hostel. . The reception staff were wearing their coats and caps and looked very intimidating.

They were also playing very loud rap music on their phones and were completely unprofessional by ignoring patients as they approached the desk. I was told I had to go to the smaller building across the car park. The professionalism here was MUCH better. The reception area was clean and the receptionist pleasant. The nurse taking my blood again was very nice. If my procedure was taken place here I would have felt in much safer hands. However,

I was told to go back to the main building.

I had a very long wait in the waiting room with a mix of women in pain because they had taken the abortion pill and other patients plus ones just messing around with no consideration to the women in pain.

This area needs more supervision or the women who had taken the pill should be able to sit in peace somewhere else. The actual procedure was a nightmare. Staff arguing with one another. Horrible abrupt shouty surgeon who refused to allow me to speak.

I was the last patient of the day even though I had arrived there at 9am. I was starving and feeling weak. The surgeon was rough and I felt they just wanted to finish for the day.

The other staff in the theatre with me were very nice, although I felt very uncomfortable about a male member of staff being present at the bottom end. I had no idea who they were! My dignity was not thought about. I was not covered up and there was no curtain to prevent me seeing what was happening. I was told that this would happen when I had my phone consultation.

When I left the theatre I was put in a chair with a curtain and all I could hear was the staff either arguing with one another "stop slagging me off" shouted one to another or they were dancing and messing around. No consideration to what the women had just been through. I just could not wait to get out of there.

Some of the staff were shouting at the very young vulnerable patients and again I thought this was way over the top. This place needs an urgent investigation and I feel so arngered by the whole experience

I will be writing to various authorities to raise a complaint. This place was so unprofessional and dirty I lived in fear of an infection when I left. If you can avoid coming here please do.
