I have visited my GP with complaints of a painful neck which is also causing shooting pains down my left arm and pins and needles in my fingers and I have been told to "see how it goes". I have had this for a month already and it is becoming worse!
I have previously visited the same GP 12 months prior to this with sciatic pains in my leg and after physio and chiropractic treatment the problem persists. The GP has not provided any further advise and appears uninterested in this issue and again told to "see how it goes".
I also have pain in my left foot which causes me to hobble first thing in the morning and after prolong periods of sitting down. Again the same GP is not interested and wants me to "see how it goes".
I have a rash around both of my eyes which still remains after 2 months of applying a prescription cream. The same GP has told me that there is nothing else they can do and we will have to "see how it goes".
In short I feel I am not being listened to and as I am only in my early 30s I do not feel it is acceptable to be left in a condition which is causing me to be immobile at times and unable to sleep.
GP surgery's need to take patients more seriously and actually need to provide help rather than wait for a condition to be so severe that a patient has to be taken to hospital. They have a role to relieve the pressure from hospitals.
I my opinion GPs are failing the NHS.
"Unhappy patient"
