What I liked
I was on Robinson Ward (Nov 2010) for an umbilical hernia operation. I have never been in such a friendly, relaxed environment where all staff met me with a smile and made it clear that I mattered and they cared. All nurses, the surgeon and anaesthetist were friendly, down to earth people with no airs or graces who explained all that I needed to k now and answered all questions clearly and willingly. The bed screens and window blinds were all carefuly chosen colours to create that 'good feel' factor. The toilet was clean and in excellent condition.
After the operation I was brought freshly made tea or coffee, given a choice of sandwich and many biscuit offers. Care by a particular member of staff their team was exemplary. Good bless them all for their skill and love.
Finally, although not a young premises everything is in good order and good condition. I was treated here better than either of two private hospitals used in the past when my company paid for private medicine.
What could be improved
Nothing that I am aware of...this is a small hospital with a big heart
"This hospital displays skill and care in..."
