About: Russells Hall Hospital

What I liked

my medical problem was corrected

What could be improved

I would have preferred to have been consulted prior to the use of hypnosis during my appointment - at no point was the possible use of hypnosis mentioned, at no point was my consent sought and there was no explanation given either at the time or later.

Anything else?

What is your hospital policy on the use of hypnosis in outpatients? Do your staff adhere to it?

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience of Russells Hall Hospital.

Your comments concern the hospital and the Breast Surgery team as hypnosis is something that the team does not use, especially without consent from the patient. We would like to investigate this further for you and would ask you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 073 0510 who will be happy to look into your concerns.
