What I liked
Surgeons were terrific and support from matron was good.
What could be improved
Attitude of nurses towards my comfort pre and post-op was appalling. I amsupposed to have an orthopaedic bed but was not given one and told to make do.
After the op when I was in considerable pain, on asking for pain relief, I received the respoe: "can't you wait?" and then "heard: "you better see to him - he refuses to wait - he'll only start moaning!"
Matron came to see me and apologised and promised follow-up meeting . I received one call asking me to wait and am still waiting till this day!!!!
I have also only had two follow-up scans and heard nothing since January descpite calling and visiting the hospitl several times, com, plaining of urinary problems, pain and discomfort.
"Surgeons were terrific, nursing and..."
