What I liked
after attending the a&e department, at the maidstone hospital, i was very pleasantly surprised. this visit was in fact for my sister, not myself. over the last ten years i have become so disillusioned by the treatment at nhs hospitals,(not maidstone) i was actually quite worried about any member of my family needing treatment in hospital. having been a nurse for few years myself, and more importantly a patient on a number of occasions , it hard to watch services being given to patient that i know was just wrong. the staff at maidstone a&e were just lovely professional caring and comforting. they kept us informed at all time of the treatment they had either ordered or were going to order letting us know not only did they care but they cared how we felt too. all of the staff on duty there seem to have a real team spirit. the department was busy but the staff conducted them selves in such a way it felt a relaxed atmosphere. very calming when your feeling ill. i can't thank the staff there enough for the way they treated my sister but most of all for the way they restored my faith in a nhs hospital. i know which hospital i will have treatment in should i need too. well done maidstone for putting patients first .
What could be improved
i was happy with most things although, some of the treatment trolleys may need to be considered when budgets allow. clean but a bit worn . the seating in the waiting area, is OK for short periods but rather uncomfortable after a while.
"very happy with the treatment we..."
