"An utter embarassment to the NHS"

A total and utter embarrassment is the only way to describe St Austell Healthcare. It is impossible to speak with a doctor let alone get an appointment.

My wife has now been promised twice that a doctor would phone to speak to her, that was prior to even getting an appointment!! But on both occasions a receptionist or nurse then called to say that she could not be seen and that the doctor had written a prescription for her when the doctor didn't even know what the problem was!!

Spent all day trying to call the Hub but number would not connect. Then attended the surgery to be told that the lines were extremely busy!! Staff also insisted that a doctor had tried to call but no missed calls on a mobile that had been sat with all day. It is one thing to be totally inefficient and ineffective but to be dishonest as a Public Service is unforgivable and extremely dangerous should their actions result in a Serious Case Review.

My advice, stay well clear and find another practice, if you can !!

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulty in obtaining an appointment, and had long delays from our switch board when trying to phone St Austell Healthcare.
