What I liked
The hospital is nice and new. The staff seem friendly. One nurse made a special effort to try to help.
What could be improved
There are two areas for blood tests. I could not understand why, and there was no guidance as to which to go to. There wasn't a general help desk.
Barking & Havering Trust and Mid Essex Trust need to get their act together.
Anything else?
This hospital is an example of the lack of co-ordination in the NHS.
They apparently "serve" 3 or 4 health trusts. (not necessarily the patients)
I live about half a mile away, but I have to go elsewhere to get a blood test. The government says it wants to give choice, wants to "go green" but I have to get my car out and drive miles and waste hours driving to a far away hospital, just to have a blood test. Ridiculous.
"The hospital is nice and new. The staff..."
