"My son was given double his amount of drugs"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Paediatrics

(as a relative),

My son who as cystic fibroses resently had a operation queens medical and to my horror I found out the next day after he had been given double dosege of a drug that should of been just one a day and all we got was so sorry we dont know how that happenend.

How can they not know? It should of been in his notes to say he had had the drug already or dont they read notes and drug charts. I think that hey could have killed my son.

Also, many a time ive walked down D floor to find black bags of rubbish in them and no hand gel to use before entering the wards. I think they should bring back childrens ward to city hospital. In my opinion it was much friendler and no mistakes was made and it was cleaner.

very annoyed parent.
