This used to be a great GP surgery but over the past 12 months the cuts are really showing.
I called at 8am twice last week to try and get a doctors appointment for a chest infection - on both days I waited over 25 minutes and got told that there was no appointments left and any pre planned appointments would be in three weeks time.
I ended up walking into a GP walk in surgery in West London to find out it was not a chest infection bt a cardiac issue and had minor cardiac surgery to alleviate it.
I had a bad night last night and called 111.
They advised me to get a GP appointment this morning.
I just tried and got a receptionist telling me that it had to be an emergency or they would not see me.
I explained the whole thing and they were not convinced .....seriously !!!
I recall when my dad had something similar 25 years ago that the GP phoned him to ensure he was ok after surgery...whilst I realise that would not happen anymore I did expect that I would be granted an appointment.
sad times
