"The doctor I saw in outpatients the day..."

What I liked

The doctor I saw in outpatients the day before was very pleasant and professional.

What could be improved

I needed some blood tests after my OPD appt, but the blood tests area had already closed by that time (4pm). I therefore had to take more time off work and make another journey the next day. When it was my turn, I found a member of staff gossiping with a colleague whilst I sat waiting in the room. They said neither hello nor goodbye and spoke coldly to me only to confirm my name and date of birth. They continued their chat with their colleague even as the needle went in. I felt like a distinctly unwelcome intruder. In the grand scheme of things, this is a minor issue, but I don't normally post comments and basic civility costs nothing. They didn't even have situational stress as an excuse.
