I was referred by my GP for an outpatient appointment and in our area we use a service called Sentinel to manage these bookings. I want to give some feedback on this service.
Firstly I was contacted very rapidly by the service which was great - within a day or so of seeing my GP.
When I phoned back the lady who dealt with my booking was also great - she was polite, efficient and helpful; and she went through my choices for care clearly and concisely.
I booked an appointment at my local hospital for a time and date that suited me and this again felt great - as I was given clear choices, and felt that my needs were being met.
In summary Sentinel appears to be a great service.
The only downside is that I never recieved a letter from the hospital confirming my appointment in writing, and I am unclear where that responsibility lies.
"Good experience of Sentinel, but no appointment letter"
