It sounds bizarre but having my foot operated at Barlborough was actually a good experience.
The pre-op clinic was informative and my consultant Mr. Farlin was able to fully explain what the problem and remedy was.
The day of the operation came and I was so nervous, not having had an operation before. The nurses were good at keeping me calm and my husband was able to stay with me until it was my turn.
I reacted badly to the medication and had to stay overnight but again, all the staff were very helpful and caring. I was in an individual room and it was quiet and comfortable. Everywhere was spotless.
The afternoon was excellent and when I rang due to excess swelling,I was able to be seen straight away.
The service, staff and facilities were excellent and I'll have no qualms at using them again.
