I’m writing to complain about the lack of help my son has been given.
He has limited speech and struggles to pronounce the words he can say and I am growing even more concerned as he is approaching school in August.
He was referred to speech therapy at his 27 month check. He has attended speech therapy, but for some reason they have decided to not bother with him since January! The health visitor has even phoned them about this but they have said they haven’t even replied to their phone call over the matter.
My son had had his hearing checked three times at the hospital and been given the all clear. His health visitor is certain there is nothing else wrong with him other than his speech, he has occasional melt downs which we believe is down to his frustration.
He was supposed to be assigned a educational visitor in his preschool Gretna sparklers but this is also yet to happen.
It’s highly frustrating when no one will help him. Could someone please reply to me as to what I can do to get my son the help he needs.
